Cutting and Bevelling a Leather Sighthound Collar:
My collars are custom-made to the intended dog’s neck size. I’ve made a template out of cardboard for one of my own Saluki’s neck size, which I find useful when arranging how to cut the collar. I always use a ruler to be sure of sizing and width. Many seasoned leather crafters bevel after carving, though I prefer to bevel before carving as it enhances my approximation of the borders and design sizing.
